SEI Webinar - An Introduction to the Cayman Private Funds Law

Related practices

_On 23 July, SEI will organise a webinar on the Cayman Islands Private Funds Law. During this session, Mark Shaw, Investment Funds Partner, will give a European comparison against the Cayman Islands Private Funds Law and will look at how the regime can work with the Luxembourg framework for global fund complexes.

On this first webinar, SEI and industry experts will spend a half-hour discussing the challenges posed by the recently published legislation regulating closed-ended investment funds, known as private funds, in the Cayman Islands.

The Private Funds Law 2020 requires private equity, real asset and most other private funds to register with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA).

Discover what must be done before 7 August for existing private funds and what this means for funds yet to be launched in the Cayman Islands.
